With two games left in this season’s Champions League, PSG await their opponents in the London final. On paper, it could be Real Madrid, but after 22 fouls and 4 yellow cards in the first leg, Madrid could be in for a tough battle. Let’s see if it can be a card game in the Bernabeu!
On Tuesday, the referee of the 2020 and Wednesday the referee of the 2023 CL final will take the whistle, with Daniele Orsato followed by Szymon Marciniak in the spotlight. This will be the fifth job this season for the Polish sportsman, who has given out 24 yellow cards so far, but 3 of them in Atlético-Inter extra time.
The 43-year-old referee is coming in good form, having given out 9 cards in his last league game and 8 in his last international cup game, so he is the right man to get the cards.
Although we didn’t expect too many cautions in the first match, the 4.5 mark now sounds more exciting. Of course, if goals are the main focus again, fouls could be overshadowed, and we’ve seen that in a few Real games this year.
Unlike yesterday’s match, we’re looking more towards the over here, and we’ll also be looking at one or two player cards.
