We have brave tips – both Monday’s Italian matches analysed

There are two Serie A matches left on Monday night, the first one with Salernitana hosting Atalanta and the second one with Udinese hosting Napoli. It’s easy to guess from the team names alone that both meetings will go to the away side, but we’re only daring to go with the paper in one of them. The best odds this time were found at 20bet.

Free pick for Salernitana-Atalanta

The Roma-Juve draw was very good for Atalanta, as it put Gasperini’s team 3 points clear of the capital with two games to play. In other words, Atalanta have a place in the Champions League in their hands, while they are also in with a chance of progressing in the Europa League after the 1-1 draw in France.

The pace is incredibly tight, however, with the Bergamo side playing league games against Salernitana, Roma and Lecce in 14 days, while they have cup clashes against Marseille and Fiorentina. Points are not to be dropped in Salerno, even if Roma visit Bergamo this weekend and not the other way round.

On paper, Atalanta should be able to smooth things over with almost any starter, and we don’t even think Gasperini would start a crazy rotation. Lookman, for example, is in the provisional starting line-up, but Touré could also be back on the pitch.

With nothing at stake for the home side, we’re expecting a good game where the goal-bag could open up.

Pick1: Atalanta win + BTS @2.80
Pick2: Atalanta win + over 2.5 goals @1.88

Free pick for Udinese-Napoli

The situation is very different in Udine, where the zebra-striped team is fighting for its life. On top of that, Verona and Sassuolo won at the weekend, while Empoli, Frosinone and Cagliari also picked up points, so the situation is pretty scratchy at the moment, with Udinese 3 points away from relegation and even Sassuolo closing in.

Napoli are in a fight for promotion to the Conference League based on the standings, but we live under the suspicion that this doesn’t motivate the southerners particularly. It would be better now to have a quiet summer, just preparing for the championship, instead of the last year’s champion clowning around in the ECL. After the title, the engine has been faltering all year, with Osimhen’s team winning just one of their last seven games, and we don’t expect that to increase in Friuli.

The last rounds of the Italian championship do produce some interesting results and we can’t deny that we are expecting more of the same. Despite the home team’s many injuries and suspensions, we’re going to take the points.

Pick1: Udinese or Draw @1.84
Pick2: Udinese win @3.80
