Exciting tip for Inter Miami’s first match in Saudi Arabia

Inter Miami continue their preparations in Saudi Arabia. Messi and his team play the Saudi league leaders on Monday..

Inter Miami failed to qualify for the play-offs last year, so the team had a long lay-off of several months. Older players such as Messi and Busquets did not mind so much, as they had an unusually long winter break for their professional careers.

The biggest news for Inter Miami in recent months has been the signing of Luis Suárez, which means that four of the former Barcelona legends – Messi, Alba, Busquets and Suárez – now play for the Florida outfit.

However, the Suárez-Messi duo are not looking to work so far, as they have failed to score a single goal in Inter Miami’s 3 pre-season games so far. So the form is far from sharp, and against Monday’s game it is, to put it mildly, a game in hand, as the Al Hilal side have not lost a game in normal time since the end of July.

The team, managed by Portuguese legend Jorge Jesús, features names such as Mitrovic, Milinkovic-Szavic, Ruben Neves, Koulibaly and Bono, along with Saudi Arabian internationals. Neymar has also signed for the club, but the Brazilian is unlikely to complete his contract due to injury.

The team will do just fine without him, because although everyone talks about CR7 and Al-Nass when it comes to Saudi football, Al Hilal will win the Saudi league, currently 7 points ahead of Ronaldo’s side, who were sent home 3-0 at the beginning of December.

What is worth betting on Al-Hilal vs Inter Miami?

According to the bookmakers, Al Hilal are the heavy favourites to win the match, as they are paying under two odds for a home win, but it is worth noting that the Saudi team is also at the beginning of their preparations. In fact, Messi’s side are already ahead of the game, as they have matches under their belt, while Al Hilal have yet to play an official friendly.

It’s hard to judge the odds here, as these are two teams that don’t play much against teams we know – European teams, that is – so it’s hard to know who or what they are up against. The conventional wisdom is that Al Hilal are (or could be) slightly stronger, but Messi and his team did not travel to the Middle East to surrender with their hands up.

We find this a difficult matchup to bet on, so we wouldn’t go into this game with any serious bets. However, as this is a ‘showcase’ invitational tournament, the entertainment should be quite pronounced.

A goal scored by both teams is a natural sell out option ( as you can see from the odds), and we wouldn’t be spicing that up with a winner, but a handicap, and on Messi.
