Our bets for Arsenal vs Liverpool
Arsenal-Liverpool clash in the FA Cup third round, but the question is who will be more important on Sunday.
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a minor slump on Sunday, but Liverpool are currently leading the Premier League, so it won’t be an easy cup tie for the Blues. The two sides met two weeks ago, the 90 minutes resulted in a points draw, but now no one would be happy about that as it would result in a replay.
Arsenal have since lost to both Fulham and West Ham, although they dominated both games, but the Artetas entertained plenty of chances. This game could be more important for the home side, Liverpool play a League Cup semi-final against Fulham on Wednesday, perhaps that could be a bigger focus as Klopp may not be missing another series.
Liverpool have important absentees, with Salah and Endo now leaving the team due to national team commitments in addition to the many injured, so if Klopp sends his current strongest 11 out there will still be plenty of weak spots.
Given the two defeats, it is clear that this game could be more important for the home side, especially at the Emirates. Considering that Pool play a semi-final on Wednesday and the EL is there in the spring, it’s in the cards that they won’t be 100% from the start, so expect an Arsenal goal in the first half, which is quite common these days. In their last three games Liverpool have been behind within the first 10 minutes, it’s in the cards for the Reds to get back in it.
