Mbappe or Ronaldo? – France in big trouble over stats
The clash between the former and future Real star has so far produced very one-sided numbers.
Spain-Germany followed by Portugal-France, this Friday promises to be legendary. In the latter, Real Madrid’s former and future superstars will go head-to-head, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé deciding who will reach the last four. Although this year’s Euros is not about the two of them, their statistics against each other are quite telling.
Ronaldo and Mbappé have met four times in competitive matches, twice at club level and twice with the national team. The French world champion is a man of numbers, having not only never managed to win against Ronaldo, but has not even scored a goal.
Ronaldo scored 5 goals in two draws and two wins against Mbappe, while Turtle scored none.
The masked striker does have a history of success in friendlies, as the French side won 5-4 in 2023 in a clash between the Riyadh all-star team and PSG, with Mbappé scoring 1 and CR7 2 goals. Of course, this statistic is only interesting, but the 22bet odds also show that the World Cup silver medallists are the favourites.
As for the superstars, we’re getting roughly similar odds on their goals, although Mbappe’s (@2.65) is slightly lower than Ronaldo’s (@2.90) – obviously because France are also favourites to win the match.
