Lazio don’t stand much chance, but these brave picks are worth a look!
We are looking for odds above @4.00 for the Lazio-Juve cup tie.
On Monday night, the Italian title went to Inter as expected – and we’ve got @3.30 odds on them, among others. There will certainly be no double, however, with Lazio-Juventus (0-2) and Atalanta-Fiorentina (0-1) in the cup rematches. Let’s start with the more prestigious fixtures.
The Old Lady continues its run of failure, and its CL start is no longer in danger, it is getting to the point where the team that used to be at least silver medalists could even finish in 4th place. After all, Juve’s lead over Bologna is now just 2 points, with a Juve-Milan clash at the weekend. The spring is not looking good for Allegri, and a change of manager is likely to be the result.
According to Italian rumours, Allegri has already offered to replace the also departing Stefano Pioli on the Milan bench, but Milan are considering a foreign coach.
The cure could be a cup win, for which Juve are currently the heavy favourites. On the one hand, because of the two-goal advantage, and on the other hand, because the underdogs, Fio, have gained an advantage in the other leg.
So Juve are coming off two unbeaten games, while Lazio are coming off two wins, even if beating Salernitana and Genoa is not a huge feat. Injuries, however, will make life difficult for the coaches, with Zaccagni and Provedel on the one side, but Lazzari, Guendouzi and Immobile are also questionable, while on the other side Fagioli, Miretti and Kean miss the trip to Rome. So one interesting aspect of the game could be that Mandas will be in goal on one side and Perin on the other.
It’s very difficult to overcome a two-goal deficit, even against Juventus now, so the Eagles don’t really have anything to spare, they have to rush their opponents. As it’s doubtful what Lazio will achieve in the championship, they will have to try to pull off a miracle, otherwise this season will be in the bin – of course, they could still finish 5th by the end of the year, but the chances of that are slim.
As Igor Tudor said, they need to play a perfect game to have a chance, but it’s also worth noting that Lazio haven’t played a game against Juve since 2019 that would be worth extra time now.
As we wrote, we expect Lazio to take the initiative, they should surprise Allegri with a quick goal, even though they have only scored once in the opening period of their three games this season. So we’re going for a number of bravura picks that pay very well on the 22bet.
