We only have tips above @3.00 on the Italian derbies!
It’s a bit of a shock that Bologna and Inter played each other the derby of the round, but that’s the way it is in Italy at the moment. However, there are still two exciting games left on Sunday, so let’s see what we can expect from Juventus-Atalanta and Fiorentina-Roma. This time again, we recommend 20bet!
Free pick for Juventus-Atalanta
As wonderful as the season was for Atalanta and Juventus until about January, or February in the case of Bergamo, the teams melted down in the second month of the year. While there is no serious threat to the Old Lady’s start to the BL, Gasperini’s side still have plenty of way to go, both forward and backwards.
In particular, Allegri’s form has been tragic, with 5 points against the six of Empoli, Inter, Udinese, Verona, Frosinone and Napoli, 40% of which came from a last minute goal. But not much has changed for Juve, they’ve had a lot of injuries all year, so it’s not news that De Sciglio, McKennie or Kean are injured, but Vlahovics, Fagioli, Alcaraz and Rabiot are not available.
In comparison, what happened at Atalanta is just what happened in reality, that is, they couldn’t cope with the better teams (this year), which nevertheless put in perspective that this year there will be no qualification for the BL.
There is some fantasy in this Koopmeiners-Lookman-Ketelaere trio, but it’s not enough to stuff Sassuolo or Frosinone if they then barely score in the play-offs.
An important 90 minutes lie ahead, mainly to see which team comes out of the slump. That’s why it’s a bit of a cliché to say neither, but for us this meeting is very much a draw. Four of the last five games between the two sides have gone four games without a win, so in a not very situational encounter, we wouldn’t be betting on either side coming away with 3 points this time either.
Free pick for Fiorentina-Roma
In contrast, the 90 minutes at Artemio Franchi could be an exciting and goal-filled 90 minutes. Fiorentina love to get involved in spectacular goal battles anyway (just think of the 4-3 EKL meeting against Maccabi), while Roma under Daniele de Rossi are putting up some really good numbers.
Under De Rossi, Roma have won 7 of 10 games and scored 26 goals compared to 11 conceded.
Most recently, Brighton came away from Olimpico with a four to put an end to the tie. And their league form has taken the Wolves all the way to fifth place, who can only aim for 4th place by the end of the season.
For the home side, Beltran is suspended, so the attacking third could be a problem for manager Italiano, especially since Belotti, who is here on loan from Roma, has only managed to score one goal in seven games so far. There is no new news for Roma, however, with Dybala, Lukaku and Zalewski likely to start in a 4-3-3 front line.
And that’s without the Argentine striker who has been reborn under De Rossi. The World Cup winner has 8+1 in 9 games, and in the last three meetings he has scored 5 goals and dished out an assist, twice claiming the title of best player of the match.
In addition to Dybala’s goal, we also look at a red card, as the recent matches between the two teams have been very colourful, with 7 matches and 6 red cards since November 2020.
