We have targeted odds of @7000 – is that crazy?
The Premier League is back in action on Thursday, this time with Birmingham hosting the eight-man field.
The Premier League continues with a new leader, Luke Littler has won two in a row and now leads the table by one point. The young Englishman has edged out Luke Humphries, who had a fantastic run but has gone the last two rounds without a win. Let’s see a totally crazy parlay from 22bet.
In Birmingham, the reigning world champion will be one of the main protagonists in the first match against Peter Wright, who is still at the bottom of the field with four points. But you can’t take the Scotsman in one swipe, as he was beaten by a 109.52 round average a week ago.
Humphries didn’t deal the former two-time world champion many cards in their matches against each other this year, as the Englishman won 6-1 in Dublin and 6-4 in Notthingham.
We’ll see which face Humphries shows now, he was stuck in the dressing room for a week and by the time he caught up, the game was over and he could pack his bags. He started with an average of around 80, which is unlikely to be enough against Wright, but this year has not been a year of performances like that for the world number one, so expect a strong Humphries. We’ll play the Englishman’s win on the tutu combo and a 170 out on the risk.
They will certainly face the first English opponent to progress, as Rob Cross and Luke Littler will face off in the other top flight match. The latter has learnt to manage his game, and in the last two rounds he has gone from firing the gun in one game to managing his energy. That’s what you need, that’s how you win tournaments in the Premier League. If Littler can’t sit back, he can rest assured that he is unlikely to miss the play-offs from here. But the other Englishman should pinch himself, Cross hasn’t scored for four rounds and his London ticket is slipping away… There is still a way back, but he has to win against his compatriot. It won’t be an easy feat…
Luke’s fantastic, he’s won two in a row, so it’s going to be tough, but if I stay strong and take my chances, I think I can win against him.
said Cross, who has been far from 100 in his last two defeats and has only managed to win three or three legs.
The first match in the lower bracket will be a repeat of one of the semi-finals in Manchester, as Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith clash again. Their previous clash was a memorable one, with the Welshman scoring a nine-eighths winner to beat his English rival 6-3. Although Price eventually lost in the final, it was a very good night for him overall.
As both are currently below the line, it makes a big difference what the outcome of this meeting is. It would be particularly important for Price to win, as he has started from a very big deficit.
Two players, Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall, have not yet been mentioned, and they have the last quarter-final. With the Dutchman unbeaten in three rounds in a row and the Englishman in penultimate place, it was hard to imagine that there would be another period of this regular season when Aspinall would be better off. And they arrived in Birmingham with Aspinall one point ahead of Van Gerwen…
The Dutchman is on an unexpected downward spiral, with only two points in the last six rounds and his play-off place in danger. Although Van Gerwen has won both of his two PL games against the Dutchman this season, they date back to February, when he was still on a roll.
This could be a different game to the one they played at the start of the regular season…
This time, we’re sending you a completely despicable four-way bet based on intuition, which of course is only offered for play with slut money.
