In addition to Juve vs Roma, we have also picked Milan and Atalanta
After Friday’s 3 picks, we have once again selected the most interesting Italian matches of the day.
Atalanta-Lecce
Last season Lecce beat Atalanta back to back, but now a win in Bergamo is a long way off the paper. Although Roberto D’Aversa’s side are unlikely to be relegated and Atalanta have not been brilliant this season, we are not going for a surprise. Lecce are a team that are very difficult to beat this season, although they are winless away from home, their five draws are not bad and they have never conceded at least 3 goals. This also provides a good basis for our tip, which covers most of the paper outcomes.
Milan-Sassuolo
Once again, we are living in the golden age of #PioliOut among Milan fans, with the Rossoneri’s supporters deeply upset that their favourites couldn’t even beat league strugglers Salernitana. On Saturday, Jovic’s side can improve at home to Sassuolo, a team that have only managed 1 point in their last four games. Importantly, Berardi will be back in action for the visitors, so Laurienté, Castillejo and Pinamonti could start up front alongside the winger, suggesting a very brave line-up. Last season, seven goals were scored at San Siro and it would be surprising if a goal parade did not accompany a game between two such teams.
Juventus-Roma
The rivalry of the round is clearly Juventus-Roma, no thanks to the Wolves’ season. Even though Mourinho’s side beat Napoli, they are still only in 6th place, and they are underdogs in Turin. The capital side put together a very peppered game against Napoli, with a total of 14 cards, where even the head coaches were given a warning, and we certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see a tough 90 minutes in the industrial city. Referee Sozza most recently officiated an 8-card game in Serie B, while he went as many as 12 cards in Salerno-Bologna, and in addition, the last six Juve-Roma games have seen three of them go to send-off. It should be plain card over, but we’ll stick with more Rome cards, spiced with red!
