We have a very safe tip for the Italian match
The Italian and Turkish national teams meet in Bologna in preparation for the European Championship.
The defending champions will also take to the pitch in preparation for the European Championship, with Italy facing Turkey and then Bosnia. Luciano Spalletti’s side, who are also in contention for the European Championship, will take on the Turks in Bologna, and although they are undoubtedly strong, we are used to seeing youngsters take centre stage in the absence of the big old boys. Tuesday night will hardly be the day to find out what the Squadra Azzurra are capable of, but it will be a good benchmark.
Acerbi, Biraghi, Tolói, Spinazzola, Romagnoli, Bonucci, Florenzi, Locatelli, Verratti, Bonaventura, Zaniolo, Berardi, Kean, Politano, Immobile – no, they are not the players who could be involved tonight at the Dell’Arra, but the ones Spalletti has not considered. Not just any roster!
The champion Napoli coach has an enviably deep squad in some positions, with the likes of Chiesa, El Shaarawy, Raspadori, Scamacca and Retegui all making a good showing in the forward line, but with the game in Bologna, Orsolini is sure to be involved.
The Italians, if not easily in the end, won their qualifying group for the European Championship, finishing level on points with the Ukrainians. We’ll be covering the Italians’ European Championship chances in more articles, but the Azzurri are a pretty dark horse at the moment, not favourites to win the title, but with the potential to do practically anything.
Turkey, on the other hand, were far more convincing in the qualifiers, beating Croatia was a huge feat, but they ended 2023 with a win over Germany in a friendly, for example. It may therefore be a little surprising that they started the year with a 6-1 defeat to Austria and a 1-0 loss to Hungary, although it is obviously a mistake to sound the alarm bell.
Vincenzo Motenlla’s team will be in action against Italy and Poland, with Cengiz Ünder, Caglar Soyüncü and Enes Ünal the main absentees due to injury.

Rotation is likely to play a major role for both teams, so we dare not bet on the final result. We do trust the Italian defence though, so we offer a really safe, lower odds bet as an exception.
