Liverpool face tough trip to Prague
The Reds visit Prague, where the focus of the English team for these 90 minutes could be the deciding factor.
Team news
We’re looking ahead to Thursday night’s Sparta Prague vs Liverpool. The favourites for the meeting are of course the Premier League outfit, but the odds have already risen nicely for the visitors for this 90 minutes.
This is no coincidence, as injuries continue to be the biggest problem for Liverpool, and Jürgen Klopp’s side will also have to prepare for their super clash against Manchester City at the weekend. The City game is likely to be an absolute priority, so anyone who is in any doubt is unlikely to be risked by the German manager.
The Reds’ game is becoming increasingly shaky, especially away from home. Although the League Cup win was a major scalp with that young squad, the winning goal came in the 99th minute against Nottingham at the weekend from Darwin Nunez in a forgettable encounter.
The big question is what we can expect from the starters, as besides Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai has also got some minutes at the weekend, while Mo Salah has been doing a full training session.
There’s a good chance that Soboszlai will start and get around 60 minutes, while Szalah is likely to come on as a substitute to get into the swing of things ahead of the City game.
That means, this Liverpool side is highly vulnerable, with several young players likely to run out in several positions, so there will be chances for the home side.
Sparta Prague reached a brilliant result to play the last 16 in Europe’s second tier, knocking out Betis in the group stage and Galatasaray in the previous round. In the return leg, the Czech side secured their progress with a 4-1 win, and did so with 4-5 Czech players in the starting line-up.
In the league, they have been joined by Slavia in the league standings, and the weekend’s clash between the two sides resulted in a 0-0 draw, so the Czechs were not able to rest on Thursday’s match.
Sparta Praha vs Liverpool free bet
This 90 minutes will not be the priority for Liverpool, while the Czechs will be preparing for their game of the season. And this difference in motivation could also show on the pitch, especially as more youngsters will still have to come on for the visitors.
The Czechs have proved throughout the series that they have not got this far by chance, capable of playing Betis, Rangers and Galatasaray on at least equal terms on the pitch, with only the Scots beating them in terms of results. Although Liverpool are at least a level above those teams, a close game is likely, but the routine is on Liverpool’s side.
We’ll give the Czechs a goal, and we’re also betting on a maximum of four goals in the match. It won’t necessarily be a match of many goals, as the Czech defence is very good at home and Liverpool will also have to rely on their defence due to their shaken up attacking line. 1-0, 2-2, 1-3. All three of these outcomes would make us money, which shows how different the outcomes can be covered with this bet, which bet has 1.80 odds on 20bet on Thursday night.
