Good reason to bet against Haaland and De Bruyne!
In the second game of a decider, the focus may not be on knocking out the opponent.
When you have two players, one of whom has scored 6 goals in his last two games and the other has 4 assists, it doesn’t seem wise to bet against them. Unless they are not expected to be on the pitch that much, a factor that is certainly not built into the odds by the bookmakers.
We are talking about a runaway match, after the 3-1 win in Denmark, City have little to shout about. So, in fact, both sides are more important in the league this weekend, as Köbenhavn will be up against leaders Midtjylland, while Manchester City face a not-so-comfortable trip to Liverpool.
Although Haaland and De Bruyne are likely to start, don’t be surprised if they are brought off by Guaridola around the 55-60 minute mark.
So we think it’s worth betting against both of them, with Haaland with a maximum of 1 shot on target and De Bruyne with 0. These picks would have been green against Manchester United, when Phil Foden and Rodri’s superb play was the talk of the sports press.
The England winger scored 9 times against United, 4 of which were on target, while in Denmark he scored 3 times in 5 attempts. So the odds from 20bet of 2.26 on him to score at least 2 times again this season don’t look bad.
